breakawayは、separate from a group because of a disagreement(不和が原因でグループを離れること)、が大意としてあるらしく（出典: COBUILD advanced learner's dictionary)、この歌詞で言うdisagreementは、意見の不一致的なものというより、物事の不協和、不調和、みたいなニュアンスかな。なんか違う、という違和感とかモヤモヤ。16、17歳の頃から強い意志を持って音楽をやってきたんだなあ、Avrilはこの頃から自分のやりたいことがわかって、それに向かって突き進んできたんだなあ、と改めて感じる曲。だから20年経ってもきらきらして活躍してるんだろうな、普通の人にはなかなかできないよ。Kelly Clarksonが歌うver.だと多少訳し方が変わると思うけど、今回はAvrilイメージで私なりの解釈で和訳してみました。間違いがあったら教えてください。
